  • My diet. Half way through first week.

In case you didn't know, you can follow me on my diet at www.lowcarbjohn.co.uk which is FREE.
Not for the faint-hearted are my photos, wearing just my pants! but hey, if it bothered me, I wouldn't have done it!

So I'm half way through my first week, I've been eating well (carrots, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, swede, etc) and YES, I'm losing weight.

So if you want to see a fat bloke in his pants...or you want to lose weight and think it would help to have an online diet buddy, come along to the site. Type low carb john into google, and I'm number 1 on the free listings.

Woohoo! Number 1 in the world.

  • Super-skinny Double-size zero me! TV programme

Did anyone see this? I missed the beginning but what I did see made me sad. I guess some of you know that I also run a diet website at www.lowcarbjohn.co.uk but these women weren't dieting...they were starving. It was quite clear that one of these reporters was having some serious mental health issues associated with what they were doing. I'm obviously in favour of people losing weight to become healthier and happier, but I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve. Both ladies were totally miserable. The weight they reached wasn't viable for long term, and the health implications were very worrying.
I know some people are against low-carb, but I believe it is because they have just accepted old information. Check out my website for why that info is not accurate. Women in particular, please, the majority of men would agree that they prefer their ladies to be fit...but not skinny. Rant over.

  • ADHD and carbs!

    Something has been bothering me.

It concerns a link between ADHD and eating foods that are high in carbohydrates.

I have just read a news report on AOL that talks about high blood pressure and the brain. The link to that story is here: http://news.aol.co.uk/brain-cause-of-high-blood-pressure/article/20070414200809990027

Now that isn’t such a big surprise to me. You see, on my free diet website at www.lowcarbjohn.co.uk there are links to various bits of information.

One of which is that doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital are using a type of low carb diet to treat children with seizures.

They have had some amazing results. An obvious hint to a link between the brain and carbohydrates. Similar reports are surfacing with relation to carbohydrates and alzheimers.

So, since the 1980’s we have been brainwashed into thinking that we should be eating low fat foods. The problem is, that if you look at the info label on low-fat items, it’s nearly always high in carbs! Since the mid-eighties, there has been an undeniable increase in ADHD, requiring medication for control.

I believe that the answer has been in front of us all along, it’s the carbohydrates.
